Ondřej Prosický, QEP

*1977, photographer
He studied geology at the Faculty of Natural Science of the Charles University in Prague and at the Technical University of Ostrava. His journeys to active volcanoes and studies of remote national parks brought him to intensive photography of wild nature. Now he spends most of the year on his journeys photographing nature.

In his work he focuses on shooting living nature. He wants to record the behaviour of animals in their natural surroundings in an imaginative way. On his journeys he has visited most places of the continental Europe, south Atlantic, the Arctic, Africa, Asia and every year he visits Middle and South America to shoot animals. Except shooting animals he makes living nature in the Czech Republic more popular and draws attention on problems related to boom of photographing nature not only in conservation areas and national parks.

His clients are publishing houses, publishers of magazines, advertising agencies or national parks authorities. Since 2006 he has been working closely with Canon Inc., which supports him on his photographic journeys. He regularly publishes his experience in articles (he is a permanent co-worker of publishers or member of an editorial board) and in his lectures.
